Headwear items are equipped in the "Head" slot. The player can only equip one headwear item at a time; picking up new headwear drops the player's current one.

Headwear Effects
  • Digging a tile will cause the player to move into the dug spot.
  • When the player moves, all walls adjacent to the player are automatically dug.
  • Increases digging level by 1 to a maximum of level 3.
  • If no torch is equipped, increases the player's Vision Radius by 1.
  • Reveals all items on the floor, including items inside containers and shrines.
  • Reveals walls that contain diamonds, gold piles or travel runes.
  • Reveals hidden Spirits.
  • Reveals all monsters and NPCs on the floor.
  • Reveals hidden Spirits.
  • Provides 0.5 armor rating, reducing damage intake by 0.5 Hearts on each hit.
  • Heals 0.5 Heart half health for every 10 enemies killed.
  • Deals 0.5 Heart half damage to the player upon picking up (this damage cannot be prevented).
  • Doubles all gold pickups.
  • Drains 1 gold per beat from the player's score.
  • Nodlc Instantly kills Monk or Coda upon pickup.
    • Amplified dlc No longer kills these characters. However, gold score obtained from completing levels is not doubled.
  • Prevents all damage from one hit, then breaks.
  • Upon breaking, the player is teleported to the Shop.
    • If there is no shop on the floor, the player is teleported to a random spot.
  • Doubles the damage dealt by the player's attack, including damage bonuses from other equipment.
  • The player dies instantly upon taking damage.
  • Breaks if the player takes damage.
  • The player is immune to the damage from explosions.
  • When the player uses a bomb, it instantly detonates.
  • Gives Bomb 33 Bombs when picked up for the first time.
  • Increases attack damage by 1.
  • Enables Strange Vision, making enemies and NPCs appear as silhouettes.
  • Increases attack damage by 2.
  • The player does not trigger tempo traps.
  • The player cannot be deafened by Banshees.
  • Breaks upon a missed beat.
